In our garden Stan has made an
apple espalier for us.
An espalier is a fruit tree or ornamental shrub whose branches are trained
to grow flat against a wall,
supported on a lattice
or framework of stakes.
It's origin is the 17th century from the French.
I love the way the apples grow on it.
