Our Miniature Fairy Garden

I love my miniature Fairy Gardens.
I've collected quite a lot of things in the last 16 years.
In this garden,  I started using planters and pots because it's easier to change the flowers.
My little girl adds some whimsy.
Here's what I added to the rustic arches.
A wreath and moss softens it.
I had to have a chandelier in my miniature garden.

The little fences you can buy add the individual look.
The brick path next to it helps create
 that cottage feel.
All the little houses lined up in a row.
The wire baskets are good, they look as though it's a fence around it.
Little signs help create the theme.
Of course, a little tea set!

Tattooed Potatoes & Martini Shrimp Salad

This recipe is so delicious, you have to try it.
It looks so pretty with the Italian Parsley Leaves.
Recipe Type: Potatoes, Vegetables, Rosemary
Yields: 4 to 6 servings
Prep time: 10 min
Cook time: 45 min

Ingredients:

1/3 to 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon coarsely-ground black pepper
6 small fresh
rosemary sprigs or Italian parsley leaves
3 russet
potatoes, unpeeled, cut in half lengthwise
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Pour the olive oil into a medium-sized glass baking dish and add the salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
Note: A glass dish works well in this case because you can check for doneness by carefully holding the dish overhead and looking to see if the potatoes are browned. When you do this, be careful not to spill the hot oil. A metal pan will do, too, but testing for doneness will not be as easy.
Press a rosemary sprig or parsley leaf on the cut side of each potato half and place cut-side down in the olive oil.
Bake until the potatoes are nicely browned, 40 to 45 minutes. While the potatoes are cooking, using a spatula, gently move them every now and then to keep them from sticking. When they are ready, remove them from the pan, turning them flat side up and carefully leaving the pressed herb in place.
Arrange on a platter and serve immediately.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.

I made a Shrimp & Avocado Salad. Put it altogether in
a martini glass and served it with the Tattooed Potatoes.
I even picked fresh lettuce from the garden.
Hope you enjoy!

Happy Easter to all our family, friends, and new blogging buddies! Maggie, of course wishing lots of good treats to all her animal friends in the blogging world for Easter. Thank you Jackie, for making Maggie, her Happy Easter necklace!
Getting the table ready for our guests.
The table was fun decorating this year outside.
Making special flower napkin holders. We have so many flowers in our garden this year, we decided to pick fresh flowers for the arrangements.
The alstroemeria are beautiful this time of year.
We have them in lots of different colors.
We'll miss our children this year,
but will send hugs and kisses and lots of blessings for a wonderful Easter!
I had to show you more photos of the garden,
it's too beautiful not to share.
 Our white roses are growing
around the arch that Stan designed.
The flowering peach tree is in bloom.
Stan was up on our hill picking flowers for today.

The Maderense Geranium has
big bouquets of pick flowers.

Tomorrow, I'll post more about our
menu and give you some good recipes.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

Finally, got my French Script Candles done on Etsy.
My son, Scott, took the photograph for the background.
